Japan to subsidise anti-jamming satellite technology

Japan plans to subsidise the development of technology designed to protect satellite telecommunications signals from jamming attacks, with commercialisation targeted for around 2033, according to Nikkei, citing industry sources. The ministry of internal affairs and communications will begin subsidising the manufacturing costs of components for anti-jamming equipment from the next fiscal year. Testing is expected to start as early as this summer, with device development aimed for completion by fiscal 2028.
