Lucy Spreen scored 24 points to lead South Hunterdon to a 48-21 victory over Warren Tech in Washington.
The Eagles (4-17) dominated from the opening tip, building a 19-7 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 30-13 by halftime. South Hunterdon continued its strong play in the second half, outscoring Warren Tech 18-8 to secure its second consecutive win.
Spreen was efficient on the offensive end, connecting on nine two-point field goals and two 3-pointers while adding seven steals, four rebounds and three assists. E’moniee Hodges controlled the glass for South Hunterdon, pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds.
Scarlett Vavrence had six points and a team-high five assists for the Eagles, while Erin O’Rourke added six points and four rebounds. Ruth Martinez Guzman chipped in four points and three steals.
Warren Tech (5-7) was led by Lilah Stokes and Alexis George, who each scored seven points. The Knights struggled offensively throughout the game, managing just single-digit scoring in all four quarters.
South Hunterdon’s defense was particularly effective, recording 17 steals as a team while holding Warren Tech to just five field goals for the entire game.
