Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PSX: PNSC) has inducted a new MR-II tanker vessel into its managed fleet, the company disclosed in a filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.
According to the notice, the vessel MT Quetta, with a deadweight tonnage (DWT) of 49,999 tons, has been successfully inducted through PNSC’s subsidiary Quetta Shipping (Private) Limited.
The disclosure was made in accordance with Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.6.1(a) of the PSX Rule Book, which requires listed companies to notify material developments.
The induction expands PNSC’s tanker operations and adds capacity to its managed fleet.
PNSC is principally engaged in the business of shipping, including charter of vessels, transportation of cargo and other related services and providing commercial, technical, administrative, financial and other services to its subsidiaries and third parties in relation to the business of shipping.
The Corporation is also engaged in renting out its properties to tenants under lease arrangements.
