Crisostomo guides Paterson Eastside past Bergen Tech – Boys basketball recap

Estarlin Crisostomo scored a game-high 21 points as Paterson Eastside defeated Bergen Tech 62-57 in a Big North Liberty Division matchup in Hackensack.

The victory extended Paterson Eastside’s winning streak to 10 games as it remains in first place in the Liberty Division at 8-0. Jariel Garcia added 15 points for Paterson Eastside (17-4).

Dean Aminyar led Bergen Tech (9-12) with 19 points. Ian Li contributed 15 points and Brady Hibinski added 14 for the Knights, who are in third place in the Liberty Division at 4-4 behind Passaic (6-1).

Paterson Eastside built a 28-19 halftime lead, including a 12-6 advantage in the second quarter. Bergen Tech rallied in the second half, outscoring Paterson Eastside 20-17 in the third quarter and 18-17 in the fourth, but couldn’t overcome the early deficit.

Crisostomo connected on five 3-pointers to pace Paterson Eastside’s offense. Dashon Abraham contributed 10 points, including two 3-pointers, while Justin Bethea added nine points in the victory.
