Noah Talbert scored 14 points to lead Medford Tech past Pemberton 53-43 in a BCSL-Liberty division matchup on Saturday in Pemberton.
Talbert’s 14-point performance was matched by Terae Tor-Agbidye and Omar Messam, who each contributed 13 points for Medford Tech (4-17). Tor-Agbidye went 7-for-9 from the free throw line, while Messam converted 5 of 9 free throw attempts.
Kam’Ron Moore led Pemberton (2-19) with 14 points, including two 3-pointers and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Elijah Dillon added 13 points for Pemberton, making four 2-point field goals and one 3-pointer.
Medford Tech took control early, outscoring Pemberton 17-12 in the first quarter. The teams played evenly through the middle quarters, with Pemberton actually outscoring Medford Tech 24-19 in the second and third quarters combined. However, Medford Tech pulled away in the final period with a decisive 17-7 run to secure the victory.
Free throws proved to be a key factor in the game, with Medford Tech making 23 of 38 attempts from the charity stripe compared to Pemberton’s 11 of 14. Brandon Cox added six points for Medford Tech, while Chase Reynolds contributed six points for Pemberton.
The win improved Medford Tech’s division record to 3-5 in the BCSL-Liberty, while Pemberton remained winless in division play at 0-7.
