Enfidha-Hammamet Airport announced on Friday the resumption of operations at its air cargo terminal, following a suspension that had been in place since 2017. The restart was marked by a large-scale event attended by representatives of national institutions, along with several key stakeholders from the transport and logistics sectors.
According to a statement issued by TAV Tunisie, a copy of which was received by the Tunis Afrique Presse, the reopening of the cargo terminal represents a structural milestone within the strategy to reposition the Enfidha-Hammamet airport platform.
The initiative aims to make air cargo a key driver of sustainable growth and the diversification of aeronautical activities, while strengthening logistical competitiveness at both the national and regional levels.
The relaunch of the air cargo terminal is thus positioned as a structuring project in support of regional and national economic development.
Organised in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Centre, the event also featured the signing of several contracts and memoranda of understanding with leading international operators, confirming the renewed attractiveness of the air cargo terminal.
