Deputy Minister of Shipping Marina Hadjimanoli departs today for Athens for a working visit that will include participation in the 16th Annual Capital Link Greek Shipping Forum, her office said Wednesday.
Hadjimanoli will join a ministerial roundtable alongside Greece’s Minister of Maritime Affairs Vassilis Kikilias, Malta’s Minister for Transport Chris Bonett and U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Transportation Marco M. Sylvester. She is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with the participating ministers.
While in Athens, she will attend and deliver remarks at the graduation ceremony of Merchant Marine Officers at the Mediterranean Maritime Academy.
She will also meet representatives of shipping companies to further promote the Cyprus Registry.
On Saturday, Feb. 7, Hadjimanoli will travel to Alexandria as an invited guest of Egypt’s Minister of Transport, where she will serve as keynote speaker at the 15th International Maritime Transport and Logistics Conference (MARLOG‑15).
She will also hold bilateral meetings with the Egyptian minister and other visiting ministers from third countries.
