Noemi Simon scored a game-high 11 points to lead Passaic Tech to a commanding 60-17 victory over Passaic in Big North-Liberty division play on Tuesday in Passaic.
Passaic Tech (12-5) took control early, building a 22-5 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 35-6 by halftime. The dominant performance continued in the second half as Passaic Tech outscored Passaic 25-11 to secure the win.
Samantha Laracuente contributed 10 points for Passaic Tech, while Mia Aquino added eight points including two 3-pointers. Mia Gamon chipped in seven points with one 3-pointer.
Passaic (4-12) struggled offensively throughout the game, managing just one point in the second quarter. Grisellis Perez and Khloe Tavarez led Passaic with six points each, with both players connecting on two 3-pointers. Ariana Bravo added five points.
The victory improved Passaic Tech’s division record to 5-1 in the Big North-Liberty, while Passaic fell to 1-5 in division play.
