LG Innotek announced that it will unveil a broad range of next-generation automotive lighting technologies in Germany, a key hub of the global automotive industry.
The company said it will participate in the 39th Lighting Workshop hosted by Driving Vision News (DVN), a France-based automotive media outlet and academic organization specializing in vehicle technologies. The event will take place on February 4–5 at the Olympia Park Exhibition Center in Munich, Germany.
The DVN Lighting Workshop is a global annual event held in major cities around the world, bringing together automakers and leading automotive electronics suppliers to share insights into key issues and emerging technology trends in the vehicle lighting industry.
During the event, LG Innotek will operate a dedicated exhibition booth and introduce new additions to its flagship automotive lighting solution lineup, Nexlide. Key exhibits include Nexlide Air, which applies a silicon-based ultra-lightweight material optimized for bumper and grille lighting, and Nexlide Pixel, which significantly enhances resolution by reducing pixel size to 2 mm by 2 mm. Nexlide Pixel was recognized with an Innovation Award at CES 2026, underscoring its technological competitiveness.
Nexlide Pixel enables clear display of text and images through exterior vehicle lighting, and is regarded as a solution that advances vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication capabilities. Potential use cases include displaying emergency messages to surrounding traffic or expressing driver preferences through customized symbols and emoticons.
LG Innotek will also showcase Nexlide Cube, which incorporates a “floating effect” that creates the illusion of light suspended in midair, as well as Nexlide C+, which features a 3D multi-effect technology that presents different images depending on the viewing angle.
Following its participation in the DVN Lighting Workshop, LG Innotek plans to conduct a series of roadshows for major European automakers, accelerating its expansion in the European automotive market. The company aims to grow its automotive lighting business to a trillion-won scale by 2030.
LG Innotek has been actively strengthening its presence in Europe through various marketing initiatives, including hosting automotive lighting solution webinars for European automakers and parts suppliers last year.
Ryu Byung-kuk, Executive Vice President and Head of the Mobility Solution Business Unit at LG Innotek, said the company will continue to introduce innovative lighting solutions that deliver differentiated customer experiences, adding that LG Innotek aims to establish itself as a trusted technology partner not only in North America but also across Europe and Japan.
