LG Innotek is set to unveil a wide range of advanced automotive lighting technologies at this year’s Driving Vision News (DVN) Lighting Workshop in Germany.
The company announced on Tuesday that it will attend the event in Munich, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday (local time), and introduce its latest lineup of automotive lighting modules, Nexlide.
Based in France, DVN is an intelligence platform for industry professionals in automotive lighting, interior, sensing and applications. Its annual Lighting Workshops, held across various regions globally, bring together global automakers, top-tier suppliers, academics and government officials to discuss key industry issues and share the latest technology trends.
The company will showcase Nexlide Air, an ultra-lightweight silicone-based light product optimized for bumpers and grilles, and Nexlide Pixel, which dramatically improves resolution by reducing lighting pixel size to 2 millimeters by 2 millimeters, the smallest yet developed. Nexlide Pixel won an Innovation Award at CES 2026.
Nexlide Pixel enables high-definition displays through vehicle lighting, from simple text to images, significantly enhancing vehicle-to-everything communication capabilities. For example, it can display emergency alerts or custom-designed emojis on the outer surface of a car, allowing drivers to both communicate and express their personalities.
The company’s booth will also display its Nexlide Cube, which uses a multi-layer structure to create a floating effect, as well as Nexlide C+, a three-dimensional multi-effect technology that can appear differently based on viewing angle. Both are expected to be major highlights of the exhibition.
“LG Innotek will continue introducing innovative lighting solutions that deliver differentiated customer experiences, evolving into a trusted technology partner not only in North America but also across Europe and Japan,” said Yoo Byaeng-kuk, the company’s senior vice president and head of the mobility solution business unit.
Following the DVN Lighting Workshop, LG Innotek plans to host a series of roadshows for major European automakers and parts suppliers to further accelerate its expansion in the region, aiming to grow its automotive lighting business into a trillion-won operation by 2030.
As part of its broader strategy to target the European market, the company has also been actively rolling out initiatives, such as hosting an automotive lighting solutions webinar for the region’s automakers and parts suppliers last year.
