Ewing topples Medford Tech in Jeff Coney Classic – Boys basketball recap

Terrance Traylor scored 23 points and dished out eight assists to lead Ewing to a commanding 76-34 victory over Medford Tech at the Jeff Coney Classic held at Rancocas Valley on Saturday.

Traylor was a force on both ends of the court for Ewing (14-4), adding seven steals and five rebounds to his impressive offensive output. The balanced attack from Ewing was evident as Kristian Thomas contributed 11 points and seven rebounds, while Jessiah Stephenson recorded a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

Medford Tech (3-14) struggled to find rhythm throughout the game, with Daquan Stratton providing the lone bright spot by scoring 16 of the team’s 34 total points.

Ewing established control early, jumping out to a 25-11 lead after the first quarter and extended the advantage to 39-18 by halftime. The dominant performance continued in the second half, with Ewing outscoring Medford Tech 38-16 over the final two quarters, including a 25-6 run in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Ewing recorded 26 assists on its 27 made field goals, showcasing excellent ball movement. Defensively, Ewing was equally impressive, collecting 27 steals and four blocks.

Jordan Jeanty and Terae Tor-Agbidye each added six points for Medford Tech in the losing effort.
