Automotive Month zooms into ETHS for first time

A shiny red Mazda Miata on display in Evanston Township High School’s “H Hall” this week kicked off Automotive Month. The month is a hands-on career exploration series of events for students being organized by the school in conjunction with the Trade Collective and the Community Garage, a local nonprofit that helps young people discover what they love through racing and working on cars.

New this year at ETHS, Automotive Month highlights career opportunities in the automotive industry that do not require a four-year degree. The month will include a speaker series, a student field trip and a tire-changing competition Feb. 24 at the Trade Collective.
